I Had A Dream (Apple Television Update 2)

February 7, 2012 by Devin Henkel Leave a Comment

So, back in 2008, I wrote a post about a dream I had where I was interacting with my television through a tablet device that controlled and augmented the content on the screen. Remember that this post pre-dated the launch of the iPad, so it’s interesting to see how things have been developing.

This fall, I read the Steve Jobs biography and read the part where he said he had finally cracked the television problem. I had actually sent an email to Jobs with a link to my blog post. He never responded, but I imagine responding would have opened him to lawsuits if he ever did do something similar. I like to imagine that maybe I nudged his thinking a bit.

Today, I read an article on CNN about a Best Buy survey that some believe may have lifted the skirt on an upcoming product from Apple. Best Buy maintains that the question was hypothetical. I guess we’ll soon see.
